July 3 2008 – Orcawise enters Chinese marketplace. Following a number of trade visits to the APAC region including the ICT Expo Hong Kong and the Project Incubation centre in Chendgu, China, Orcawise had identified strong market pull for OrcaPower AIIA platform amongst Chinese ICT oursourcing companies. Orcawise will intially use shared offices facilities in Beijing and expects to be fully operational by Q4.
June 30 2008 – Orcawise partners with e-Learning company Cornerstone International. Cornerstone and Orcawise has agreed a three year deal to integrate the OrcaPower AIIA platform. Cornerstone International is a leading standards based ICT e-Learning company based in NovaUCD Dublin, Ireland. This deal enables the Cornerstone e-Learning platform automatically generate rich electronic profiles of successful students. The profiles can then be easily integrated with HRIS to standardise recruitment, work based learning, career developemnt processes etc.
May 27 2008 – Orcawise adds EU skills frameworks to its suite of portal services. Using the SFIA (Skills Framework for the Informatin Age) standard, Orcawise uses testing material mapped onto the SFIA standard. This new development will enable managers in knowledge intensive organisations to automatically test ICT employees against the SFIA standard, gain clarity around existing project resources and develop more effective knowledge road maps.
